A writing week for eight people at most, led by Nicola Zucchi: the tools of screenwriting — character, structure, scene, dialogue — put to work for any story, a novel or a short story included. You arrive with an idea; you leave with the whole outline and the first pages.
It is the method that made this place's worlds: a humble, real object, and a caption no one can verify. On the first day each person picks something in the masseria — a tile from a fly curtain, a figure half an inch tall, a stone from the wall — and the story starts there.
A walk through the masseria to choose your object. In the evening, by the fire, everyone tells in three sentences the story they want to write.
Morning lesson: a character is born of a desire and what stands in its way. In the afternoon you write alone, wherever you like — in the greenhouse, the orchard, your room.
The incident that sets the story going, the turning points, an ending that is inevitable without being predictable. The outline gets built.
No lesson. Ceglie on foot, an hour; or the sea. You write only if you want to.
The house exercise: you invent a writer, give them a life, a body of work, an end — and they sign a page of your story. That is how the authors of Fibonacci Books were born.
What the characters don't say. You rewrite the most important scene; in the evening, it is read aloud.
You leave with a complete outline, the first pages revised, and a method that works at home too.

Nicola Zucchi: directing at the Paolo Grassi school, film at the Statale, ten years of theatre; the Directors Lab at Lincoln Center and Robert McKee's seminars; his short «Tender Tinder» selected for the David di Donatello in 2018. Then he brought it all here — the rooms, the Fibonacci books, theHeartAI.
You don't need to have written before: you need a story that won't leave you alone.
Dates on request. We answer everyone, and read everything.
