The Artist.

I have lived and worked at Lojazzo since 2003. What you find on these pages was born here.

A childlike curiosity, and a marked inclination to boredom.

That's where my moving from one discipline to another comes from. I trained between Milan, New York and London; after graduating in directing from the Paolo Grassi school I worked in theatre for years, staging plays and writing my own. Then came an invisible museum, Papagna Experience (2017), now HERE; a 3D short, Tender Tinder, selected for the David di Donatello 2018; a novel signed Olivia Stark, Flamenca, singled out by the reading committee of the Calvino Prize; and theHeartAI, the heart of the world, from the G7 to the Italian Pavilion at Expo Osaka.

The heteronyms

A small, organised madness.

Two tensions define me. The first runs between analogue and digital: I swing between tradition and modernism, between the real and the virtual. The second is a refusal to be a single identity. Over time the works asked for other authors, and artists, writers and critics who don't exist were born — Olivia Stark, Giuseppe Chiron, Sam Vancoiver, Fab Bacon, Dogel Rukt — each with a stance, a rhythm, a language. They keep me company, and open paths I couldn't conceive on my own.

We make the masseria together.

Since 2003, with Domenica Ligorio. I invent the worlds; she, a cultural producer, turns them into a home. In their reviews, guests often name us both.
